Diagnosis

• Gather information
• Physical exam of teeth, head and neck
• May conduct series of tests using non-invasive electronic instruments
• If tests indicate habitual bite is a probable cause of condition or pain, Dr. Preble will identify a jaw position while the jaw muscles are in a relaxed state – this position and new bite is called neuromuscular occlusion
