How do I know if I am out of Oral Systemic Balance (OSB)?

  1. Through your symptoms:
    • TMJ pain or dysfunction (pain, clicking, clenching, grinding);
    • Craniofacial pain (pain in the head and neck area);
    • Sleep apnea (sleep disorder, restless sleep, tiredness when you wake, exhausted in the day);
    • Signs of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (snoring, restless legs, gasping for breath);
    • Vital signs (poorly regulated blood pressure, heart rate irregularities, poorly regulated response to heat or cold);
    • Anxiety symptoms (“on-edge” feelings, combativeness, frustration, etc).
  2. Through clinical signs (e.g. talkativeness, tiredness, breathing difficulty, swallowing difficulty, sleepiness, medical and dental history, etc).
  3. Through clinical testing:
    • Of effectiveness of breathing, swallowing and speaking;
    • Vital signs monitoring;
    • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) testing;
    • Imaging (X-rays and scans);
    • Posture analysis;
    • Monitoring of progress
